Where do we operate?
We work in the Dominican neighborhood of La Ciénaga, explore the canyons of Jamao, ride the waves of Encuentro, and paddle the Yásica River — and offer many more adventures, all within reach of Cabarete, a vibrant town on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic.
How did A.L.I.V.E come to be?
ALIVE was founded through the combined passion and expertise of Sarah and Helmut. With 16 years of experience running the school that she founded, Sarah has worked alongside volunteers from around the globe and trained staff to become exceptional teachers. Meanwhile, Helmut's 25 years of operating an adventure company equipped him with the skills necessary to manage thrilling expeditions. Together, they merged their strengths and visions, launching A.L.I.V.E!
