Lodging Options
Home Stay
If you’re eager to dive right into the Dominican culture, this option is highly recommended. A single individual or a couple will feel right at home when they choose to stay with Stella and Rico. If you don’t know Spanish, you can guarantee learning a bit during your stay as your hosts only speak Spanish.
Volunteer Housing
Our volunteer housing is currently under construction and will be ready to host A.L.I.V.E participants by March 2026. It will accommodate up to 12 people and will have two bathrooms, a simple yet well-equipped kitchen, and an open-air living space. The house is situated beneath a beautiful almond tree on the campus of 3 Mariposas Montessori. That said, those choosing this option won’t need to travel far for their volunteer assignments — most activities take place right on campus! And, a bonus about this housing option is that residents will have free access to the school’s pickleball court.
Hotel / Airbnb
There are several hotels and Airbnbs in Cabarete, so finding lodging should be easy. During high season — from November through March —availability drops and prices rise, so it’s wise to book well in advance.
